China wants its own copy of Ubuntu to compete with Android






Canonical Foundation works responsible for the Ubuntu operating system in collaboration with the Chinese government to launch a special version of the system to China, according to its standards.

The Canonical Foundation will in collaboration with the National University of Defense Technology to release a new version of Ubuntu for desktop codenamed Kylin in April next version will include applications and advantages of focusing on the Chinese market.

Currently, there are plans to integrate the maps provided by Baidu and allow the links to reach the Chinese shopping service Taobao as well as to allow that conducts payment through Chinese banks and include local elements that do not exist in the regular Windows and Mac.
